Marine & Wildlife

As Red Bluff is situated on the Southern most end of the Ningaloo Reef the Indian ocean is abundant with marine life all year around. From Oct/ Nov { weather dependant}  loggerhead Turtles make their way up the beach to lay their nests and begin  hatching 55 days after nesting. This can continue on through to May ( weather dependant).  Whales start making their pilgrimage North  from about June onwards and come back past with their beautiful Calves from about September onwards. Seeing a Whale in full breach is breathtaking and something one never tires of . Seeing a Symphony of Whales is mind blowing, so bring your binos. Also throughout the year we experience Manta Rays, Dolphins, Baitballs and many species of Fish. You will also witness the “Ofsprey” family who are the best fisherman at Red Bluff , many Kangaroos, Damara Sheep, Lizards and birds.
